How long have you been into painting?

Hmmm, taking it seriously? A year........but I have painted off and on since I was like hella young. I wanta say baby days.......even tho' it wasn't much or any where near good (not saying my shit is good now) but I still painted. Even tho it was finger painting or crayons on the wall. I love it and it's sad to say I had the same mind frame as I do now for it. But I don’t consider myself a painter, more or less I feel I construct melodies and harmonies blending, for your eyes making soul love orgasms using my paint brush like a double edge sword cutting thru bone, marrow, scenesters, coke heads and sluts with all the colors of the wind. I feel I have always been on some next level hippie/Pocahontas shit......yeah I am fucken deep like an erected black dude.

Did you start at a young age? What brought you to painting?

Yes, at a very young age. Growing up was really unstable and outta control. Moving around from foster home, group home etc. I had no say in what I could do or not do. Art in general was the only thing I had full control over. Art was a way to get outta the world I was placed in. A way to forget and let my crayon, pencil, or paint brush take me away. But until this past year I never took it to heart. Before it was just some thing I could always do for fun or to get away -drawing and what not. I never thought people would want it or buy it from me......until my hommie Ghesoul bought a painting and the rest of Black Empty would fuckin' bug the shit outta me saying I should get into it more and sell them....namely because my EX wouldn't pay my bills anymore. Fucken BITCH!

So now you’re a hip-hop artist as well? Yeah I am. I rap and sing off note. The hommies from Lightsleeprs always poke fun at me calling me the 'slug of Hawaii'. Me being: tall, dark, and having bad skin. and my fan base is prob' ya lil' sister.....oh, and your fucken punk ass little brother that thinks he is a true 'indie rocker'(what ever that means) screaming, “ punk rock is dead!” You know...losers like you and me. I love my fans, and my shitty music.

Do you enjoy either of them better? I like doing art. It’s my first love but I always will have a place for hip-hop/music. Kind of like when you have a girlfriend and a side wack and you’re fucking them both. Then you begin to fall for your side wack. Art, (my first love), I like because I can do it and I never have to think. My hand usually does its thing. I can draw and draw and paint and paint, even if it comes out like shit, I love doing it. Music, (my side wack), on the other hand takes a lot more thinking for me. Givin the fact I have no real rhythm. I’m always off time in the studio and shit. I really spend most of my time thinking a lot about word placing and even pronouncing words when producing my music. It’s really hard when I studder or slur my words on an everyday basis. But I love my wife and my hoe.....

Where did you grow up? Cali. The L.A. area in boys homes, placement, group homes and so on. Harbor City's 'San Pedro', I call my home. I love that city. Even if it has turned into the ghetto by the sea.

Who are your influences both in music and in art? Art: I have to say Disney cartoons to Chaka and c.b.s. graff writers. Music: the Doors, Rolling Stones, T.V. On the Radio, Pigeon John, Circle Jerks, Minute Men, Elliot Smith. My group members (Black Empty) have a real big impression on me also.

What can we look forward to seeing in the future from you? Me and thremen mermen's balls, as they are hitting your chin! Early! Werd.
